My name is John Peters. I am a restorer and collector of watches by Bader SA of Holderbank, Switzerland.
The Mentor brand of watches is the most common of the brands used by Bader Ltd, Bader SA, Bader & Hafner, of Holderbank, Switzerland. Bader registered the Mentor trademark with the underlined Art Deco style logo on the 10th January 1962. However they registered the brand name MENTOR on the 11th July 1941.
These were a range of 'everyday' watches. They were not a "luxury" brand but had a large number of designs and styles for men and women. Many of them were pin lever movements that were not designed to be dismantled when serviced. They were what you might consider to be throw-away watches but maybe after many years of life.
